Every paid membership is a contribution to our existence.
Free membership is available for a trial (for new associate members) which is obligation free and for those who wish to contribute their time as active volunteers.
At APSL we respect and recognise those who are volunteering, because volunteering is altruistic, compassionate, showing active commitment to our cause, without any membership fee being imposed.
For the Free ‘member’ membership level, it comes with the following conditions:
- Document: provide a relevant working with children’s/vulnerable check for VIC/NSW/SA/WA/NT/, blue card for QLD as a .pdf;
- Must contribute by providing actual volunteer support participation;
- When reaching end of a 12 month period, you must provide proof of your volunteering with APSL by submitting a written document to explain how you have contributed as a volunteer member. If you’ve been actively volunteering and contributing, this is an easy requirement to fulfill! If you fail to provide your active volunteering document, your free ‘member’ membership will be subject to suspension or cancellation.
Follow these easy steps to apply for “APSL Member free” membership:
- Sign up or continue as an associate member;
- Go to your accounts page to upload the required document (as described above);
- Your membership is pending and you will remain as a free associate member until details are probity checked and contact details are checked and verified;
- You will receive an email to advise that your membership has been upgraded to APSL member (free), subject to the conditions above.
Please remember, without your support, either as a full paid member or as a free ‘member’ who helps with fundraising, we can’t cover our operating costs, and grow capacity.
Free members who assist in fundraising, automatically have their memberships upgraded to full membership for free, if they achieve the amount prescribed.
